Challenge

Splinter Creative's main challenges were all related to their organization (or lack thereof) of information. They needed a project management and collaboration system that fit their style and allowed them to work the way they always have, but in a more organized way. They needed to have the ability to access their work from anywhere, as well as make comments, add files and update status on projects with ease. They also realized the value in the ability for creatives, sales, marketing, and admin people to know anything about everything.

Before Manymoon, Splinter Creative used a white board to keep track of client projects. They also spent a significant amount of time searching for project details on any number of computers. After looking at several other online project management solutions, they decided that a web-based application would best suit their business. Since they were already running Google Apps for their Enterprise, they looked to the Google Apps Marketplace for a solution, where they found Manymoon. While Manymoon didn't have the market share of some of their previously researched solutions, they found the Manymoon integration with Google a huge plus. Another important factor in their decision was Manymoon's focus on constant improvements in real time, coupled with innovative thinking on a daily basis.

Solution

Splinter Creative now uses Manymoon to organize critical project information and streamline all of their client projects. They can see what others on the team are doing, as well as keep track of each individuals' own priorities. They are also saving time using the comments feature, which allows them to add small bits of information to a project or task, without having to send an email or have a meeting. They love that they can access Manymoon from anywhere--no more paper time sheets--everything is online and readily available.

Splinter Creative is also now defining and maintaining their processes through Manymoon's tasks and milestones, giving everyone an accurate gauge on tasks, time, order, what's hot and what's not. Furthermore, they can go back and review every aspect of the project, including the project files, even for archived and completed projects.

Some of their other favorite Manymoon features include the ability to create Tasks: specifically, the ability for anyone to assign anyone else a task. It fuels productivity and leaves little ambiguity and is super fast to get up and running. They also love using Search in Manymoon, and have found it has helped tremendously in accessing important files, documents and contacts.

Results

One of the most important results since using Manymoon, is the teams' ability to work collectively on projects. Before Manymoon, they were unable to accurately track the progress of a project's time-line. Now they can see when a task is due, whether or not they have all the necessary content, and address questions, all in one place.

The Splinter Creative team is now on the same page and on average, spending about 8-10 fewer hours per week searching the server, hard drives, job folders and email clients for documents, files or contacts. Most noticeably, the team now has more clear and defined goals for each person, each day, and details are not being overlooked. Manymoon is also making Splinter Creative be more environmentally responsible--helping them use 90% less toner and 80% less paper.
